«Six personnes sont mortes et parmi elles deux mineurs. 47 ont été blessées dont 35 hospitalisées, quelques unes dans un état grave», a déclaré José Luis Domínguez porte-parole de la mairie de Chihuahua située à 1500 kilomètres de la capitale mexicaine. Elles ont été renversées par un «monster truck» durant un festival d’activités extrêmes.

Le festival Extremo Aeroshow qui se déroule pour la troisième année consécutive à Chihuahua, homonyme de l’Etat auquel il appartient à la frontière avec les États-Unis, a rassemblé 200’000 spectateurs pour assister à des acrobaties aériennes, parachutisme, et exhibitions de motos acrobatiques et de «monster truck», camions aux roues surdimensionnées.
